Attitude

Whatever happens in your life, whatever comes to you welcome them with “I love it” attitude. Develop a positive attitude, don’t allow negative thoughts and words. Avoid mixing with negative people. Avoid watching TV news, it is not very uplifting.

When we age, we often find the annoying and disappointing signs on our face and body: another wrinkle, more gray hair, the skin on our elbows is flabby and not elastic anymore, and so on. The chain of other unpleasant thoughts begins: we are becoming unattractive, the opposite sex will never love us again, we are becoming really old, and so on. These self-humiliating thoughts actually have little in common with reality.

Attitude is what is really important. The American comedian, George Burns, who lived to be 100 years old, was asked about the secrets of his vigor, prosperity, and longevity. He
answered in one word, “Attitude. If you have a problem getting a twenty-two year-old girl, get a twenty-four-year-old," he wrote when he was eighty-six years young.

Longevity and Attitude toward Aging

Some scientists and gerontologists believe that the stereotypical thinking now common in most societies--that we can live just seventy to eighty years--confines our lives to
that age. If societies of the future expand this stereotype to 100 to 120 years, we will live that long.

Some people, though, are ahead of the societal trend and have a strong determination to live 100 years or more; they believe that their determination helps them achieve the advanced age.

Mr. Sasaki, eighty-three, whom I met in the National Diet Library in Tokyo is that kind of highly determined person. He is a survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bombing and is confident that if God spared him in that disaster, He will
also grant him a 100-year-long life. Mr. Sasaki looks vigorous and full of energy, and his round face emits life force. He is engaged in Biblical research and plans to write a few books.

At the coffee shop where we sat for a while, he ordered an ice cream for himself, which indicated to me that he belongs to the Yang type, which is very good for his advanced age. He asked me a few questions about myself, then took a pendulum out of his pocket and suggested that we check my energy level. He placed the fingers of his right hand on my wrist and held the upper end of the pendulum against the “third eye” location on his forehead, allowing it to swing in circles. Referring to a chart on a small card, he told me that I have a lack of vitality. I agreed with him because I had been feeling that my batteries were somewhat discharged.

As for me, I attributed my lack of energy to the alternate dry fasting that I had undertaken the month before and from which I was still not fully recovered. However, Mr. Sasaki's judgment was totally different. “You are taking everything too seriously and thinking too much, that is your problem,” he told me. “Keep for yourself 1 percent and leave the remaining 99 percent to God. You have to pray and God will give you energy. Let’s pray together,” he suggested. Then, keeping both of my hands together, he started the pendulum
swinging again. The circular motion across my hands gradually changed to a lengthwise path, and that was a good sign to Mr. Sasaki. “Pray to your God Yehova,” he said.

However, some people say that a determination to live long has nothing to do with reaching 100 years of age. “If someone decides to live a long life, the probability to achieve 100 years is close to zero,” according to Hajime Mizuno in his book, Japanese Men Born in 1924-1933 Cannot Live Long. He
adds that whether a person will live to 100 is 80 percent redetermined at his birth. It is not just a matter of longevity genes, but rather one’s ability to resist diseases – the strength of the immune system -- that matters; the ability to make efforts for one’s own health does not help much, in his opinion.

Watch my film “Live Long with Freedom,” read my book by the same title, which is a wording of the film. Read other inspirational books.

Selfishness

Do not allow others to control your life, be selfish in doing things that are good for you.

Make yourself priority #1. If they don’t like the way you behave, it is their problem, not yours. Be an observer more than a mess maker. Whatever you do, never feel guilty. You’ve done everything right, for that moment and situation. They are sometimes above you and you have to comply with them.

12. Know your body and personality type

We are all unique. Thou shalt know thyself. Do self-assessment. The book “Control for Life Extension. A Personalized Holistic Approach,” helps you understand your unique body and personality type and do everything right for your type. Eight Western and five Oriental diagnostic systems are used for self-assessment: heredity, lifestyle, Blood type, metabolic type, somatotype, personality type, instincts, temperaments, Ayurvedic dosha type, Yin-Yang type, Five Elements type, Chakra profile, and horoscope. Self-assessment is done through charts - you highlight entries in the charts that are appropriate for you, count them and put result of the assessment on the graph. After you are done through all 13 systems, you will have your unique multifaceted profile. Food choices for your type are at the end of the book. Other features of lifestyle suitable to your type are all over the book.

11. Eat less animal protein and fat

Avoid excessive protein and fat consumption, especially animal proteins. We need much less protein to stay healthy and fit, than most nutrition authorities recommend. Protein is a double edge sword. It leaves toxic residue: uric acid, area and ammonia. Excessive protein consumption is strongly linked to increased death rate of cancer – graph for 87 countries. My finding is in sync to Dr. Colin Campbell book The Chine Study and Dr. Neil Nedley’s book Proof Positive.

10. Don’t bring inside man-made food, bring in life food

Avoid or minimize bringing inside your body man-made food including sugar and white flower products, animal and dairy products, salty food, most processed fats, oils and fried foods. Instead, maximize your intake of living foods, such as wild and organic greens, fruits, berries, vegetables, seeds, nuts and some mushrooms and fermented foods. Blood type A people need, though, small amounts of organic meats, eggs and dairy products.

9. Drink green juices, eat green smoothies

Drink fresh green and vegetable juices every day. Eat green smoothies made from vegetables, seeds and nuts sprouts and leafy greens. Invest into wheat grass juicer and powerful blender. Juice and smoothie bars are plentiful nowadays. If you don’t like their recipes, you can bring your own flax seed sprouts, barley grass, almonds and pumpkin seeds soaked in the water and ask them to make a juice or a smoothie for you.

8. Eat your twelve longevity super foods

Eat your twelve longevity super foods: sea weed, flax seeds, pomegranates, aloe vera, garlic, bee pollen, broccoli, apricots, grapes, prunes, seeds/nuts and green leafy vegetables including sprouts. Eat your superstar longevity food - sea weed. Put it and other longevity foods in the powerful blender like Vita Mix for braking into tiny particles for better digestion. It blends in seconds and thus minimizes oxidation.

7. Eat less calories

Practice a calorie restriction. The less you eat, the longer you live. Food is a double edge sword – it gives us life and takes it away. Don’t worry about your life long food intake - lasting longer, you will eat more in the long run. Daily calorie intake and longevity graph has an optimal peek for long lived people and centenarians – they eat in average 1,500 cal a day, as compared to 3,400 cal for an average American. Spiritual breatherians (well documented cases of people who abstained from food for decades) and sumo wrestlers of Japan on both extremes of the graph do not live long. My finding is in sync with an article in the Wall Street Journal on calorie restriction.

6. Move your body, exercise your brain

Do aerobic, resistance, breathing and flexibility exercises. Do yoga, go to sauna, you need to sweat to expel toxins from you body. Long lived people are slim and trim.

5. Cleanse and purify yourself and your house

Cleanse and purify your body, avoid pollutants and rid of toxins, bacteria and parasites. Multiple pollutions: air, water, food, EMF, sound pollution and sick people around us and acidifying cooked food all put a great stress on our elimination organs. We suffer of constipation, toxic liver, gallbladder, liver, kidneys and bladder stones, slugged lymphatic system and clogged arteries. Enemas for colon cleanse, liver-gallbladder flush, kidneys flush, lymph and blood vessels cleanse can be done at your home. Decaying teeth are deadly for our vital organs. Invest your money and time into dental clean up. Move out of your house tons of unnecessary things.

4. Become best friends with temperance and moderation

Practice moderation, temperance. Frank Shomo, who lived to be 108, used to say, “Don’t bend elbow too much.” Simplify your life and get rid of many belongings that take space in your head and in your home.

3. Express yourself, have fun and be Here and Now

Avoid worrying about the future or regret about past, and be here and now. Time stops running now and you don’t age, if you live here and now. And express yourself freely Rest a lot and, if you are irritable, have a few more hours of sleep, you will feel much better. Practice easy-going behaviors and be confident and content. Focus on having lots of fun and enjoy your sexual relationship. Have your partner to eat garlic too and enjoy your anti-inflammatory sex life often and for many years ahead. Don’t allow yourself to be depressed, often by an insignificant reason. Don’t insist on others doing things your way, allow them to express themselves. Live your life and let them live their own life. But do not allow others to control your life, be selfish in doing things that are good for you. Make yourself a priority #1. If they don’t like the way you behave, it is, like with garlic, their problem, not yours. Be an observer more than a mess maker. Whatever you do or behave, never feel guilty. You’ve done everything right, for that moment and situation. They are sometimes above you and you have to comply with them.

2. Marry Peace of Mind and Be Happy

Be happy, laugh and joke a lot. Have a hobby of doing something with your hands like playing organ or collecting items like jokes. Avoid watching TV news, they are not uplifting. Watch out. Whatever comes to you, be happy with it. Forgive those who made you harm, but not forget. Repay your injury with being kind to them, they did not mean it, they are good people and it was just their illness acting for them. Learn from the mistakes of others more than from your own mistakes. Do prayers, practice meditation. Take a stressful situation as an opportunity to manifest your strength. Improve your health and prolong your life doing everything with passion. Be strong, because others will be against you. Start loving yourself. Gods and Universe created you and gave you a blessing of life. Enjoy it. Enjoy your life in America. America is the greatest country in the world and you are fortunate to be born in it. Don’t take it for granted, appreciate it. Start your day with a gratitude to the Creator that you are alive and well, with prayer, meditation or with positive affirmations. Believe in God. Connect to your spiritual self.

1. Avoid injuries, trauma and doctors

Avoid injuries and psychological trauma. More than looking for entertainment or pleasures, The longevity personality is a master of avoiding harm of any kind. They drive safely and do their daily activities in their home and out there with security and precautions. They don’t engage in dangerous activities, over-strain with physical exertions or put themselves in a stressful situation. The longevity personality avoids doctors, both allopathic and alternative, unless in case of emergency. They think doctors are not bad guys, they just don’t know the cause of person’s illness and don’t understand their unique type. Their drugs, antibiotics, and treatments all have a strong side effects including death. Regular medical check ups and non-invasive tests are necessary, though. The longevity personality takes a good care of themselves, invests their time and efforts in their health and fitness, and prefers to be self-sufficient.
